PHP Question - "Frontpage error"
« on: November 09, 2009, 08:55:18 AM »
Hello,

I am helping a friend redesign a basic website, but I am new to PHP and am unsure of how to deal with an error that the current site has been giving when someone tries to submit a form. The site was built using Microsoft Expression Web 2, but this error comes up:

FrontPage Run-Time Component Page

You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed....

Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

Apparently the web design team at his office thinks that this is a PHP error, and he told me that the new site I am going to design needs to be PHP-compatible. I am not even sure what that means.

Any advice? Any idea what the error means? And what exactly does PHP compatible mean?

Thank you!!
